Vehicle Technician
The Role
We are looking for a Vehicle Technician to join the team, working under a senior technician while carrying out the same level of work across a wide range of jobs.
This is a varied, hands-on role covering everything from routine servicing through to more complex engine work and performance upgrades. The position suits someone who is confident working independently and takes pride in delivering work to a high standard.
Responsibilities
- Servicing, maintenance and repair work
- Diagnostics and fault finding using BMW systems (ISTA, AIR)
- Installation of performance upgrades including suspension, brakes and bolt-on modifications
- Engine work including rod bearings and crank hub fixes across S-engine platforms
- Supporting fast road and track preparation builds
- Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail
- Keeping a clean and organised workspace
- Communicating effectively with the team and, where required, customers
Requirements
- Proven experience working on BMWs (essential)
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
- Experience using BMW ISTA or similar systems
- Background in a BMW specialist or dealership environment preferred
- Ability to work independently and manage workload
- Passion for performance cars and quality workmanship
Working Environment
This role offers a genuine mix of work:
- Same-day servicing and alignment work
- Multi-day and longer-term performance and engine builds
Working Hours
Monday to Friday
08:30 – 18:00 (1 hour lunch)
Salary dependent on experience
Customer Service & Operations
The Role
We are looking for a Customer Service & Operations team member to support the day-to-day running of the workshop and manage the full customer journey.
You will be the main point of contact for customers, from initial enquiry through to booking, updates and handover, working closely with the Business Manager and workshop team.
Responsibilities
- Managing customer enquiries via phone, email and social media
- Booking jobs and managing the workshop diary using Garage Assistant
- Guiding customers through services, upgrades and available options
- Providing clear updates on vehicle progress and timelines
- Creating estimates, invoices and tracking payments
- Ordering parts for scheduled work
- Supporting Shopify web sales and online enquiries
- Assisting with communication across social media platforms
- General administration and supporting workshop operations
Requirements
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Confident dealing with customers both in person and over the phone
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good general computer skills
Desirable
- Interest in cars or the automotive industry
- Willingness to learn BMW models, parts and internal processes
Working Hours
Monday to Friday
08:30 – 18:00 (1 hour lunch)
